Husband and wife yachting team Neal and Lisa McDonald are keenly awaiting the announcement next month over the future format of the Volvo Ocean Race.
As skippers of rival campaigns in the last race, the pair want to continue their offshore careers, either as a team or as competitors.
"We will know in February how the race is going to look and that will determine what we do next," said Neal, who recently joined Ellen MacArthur's Kingfisher 2 crew for the attempt on the Jules Verne record.
Since the end of the last race, in which Neal finished in second place on Assa Abloy and Lisa finished in last place on the all-women's boat Amer Sports Too, the pair have been busy competing in various events around the world and combining their racing with a programme of networking.
