Thousands of people across the Eastleigh area celebrated the Queen's Golden Jubilee in style.

The signpost marking King's Way Gardens in Chandler's Ford was changed to Queen's Day Gardens as hundreds of residents took over the street for an all-day party.

At midday the sound of 350 ticket holders singing All You Need Is Love, the BBC Jubilee theme tune, kicked off the festivities, followed by music and an all-day barn dance in the centre of the closed road.

There were similar scenes in the locality, including Upper Barn Close, Fair Oak, where everyone pitched in together in true British fashion.

A number of schools also got into the swing of things before breaking up for the half-term

holiday, including Stoke Park Infant at Bishopstoke and Knightwood Primary at Chandler's Ford.
