WHAT a relief! When that ball went in the net on Saturday, you could tell how much it meant to the fans, the players and the coaching staff.

Finally our season has started, and long may it continue!

It is so annoying now having to wait a week to play our next game at the Friends Provident St Mary's stadium.

Bolton was a trip I hadn't made before but it is one I would encourage supporters to make.

The ground is definitely one of the most well-thought out in terms of the location.

Away supporters are offered parking within the ground's surroundings and are able to exit immediately afterwards - I was home by 9:30pm!

Obviously the result made it a better place to go, but why not?!

Next up is Aston Villa who have had a good start to the season.

I know what everyone is thinking: the return of Hassan Kachloul (with lack of hair!) - but let's concentrate on ensuring Saints are the one's to go away with the three points.

Saints will play Gillingham in the next round of the Worthing-ton Cup.

Some may say we are lucky to have an easy draw, but after last season (Tr***ere), I think Saints can safely say that there is no such thing as an easy cup game!

Finally, what about the Worthington Cup draw made on Saturday involving two of the most popular teams in the south - Tottenham v Tranmere! Many Saints fans will have to break a habit of a lifetime and support one of these.

Maybe you want Hoddle to get one back over on Tranmere after what they did to us?

Or maybe you want Tranmere to cause further pain and suffering to Hoddle? I personally will be supporting Tranmere - as long as we do not get them in the next round!

I know the heart will be pumping and the blood will be rushing during this game so if you have any views or opinions on what you would like to see happen, then contact me here at the Echo.
