WINCHESTER's Tory candidate, George Hollingbery, is bringing bingo back to the city.
George Hollingbery has set up the chance to play at the Guild-hall after listening to local people who told him how much they missed playing.
"Bingo is one of the country's most popular games and Win-chester has lost out over the years because there is no place to play," said George.
"The start-up costs are modest and I believe this will be a good fundraiser for Age Concern and give hours of enjoyment to people into the bargain."
He limbered up for the first session by practising at Leo's Leisure Bingo Club in Leigh Road, Eastleigh.
To start with there will be four sessions over two months in the autumn starting on September 21, and then October 5, October 26 and November 16 - all at the King Charles Suite.
Age Concern is providing some transport, the bingo equipment, number caller and publicity for the events, which will have a capacity for 75 people.
