WITH the boss away on holiday Ade Burford and Ray Cozzi took charge of Lions' friendly at Isthmian Leaguers Abingdon Town on Tuesday night.
It was a curious match where Andover took an early lead and then were outplayed for much of the next hour before Abingdon tired and were eventually beaten.
With a number of injuries as well as holidays and the Darren Witt tournament going ahead at the same time, the squad which travelled up the A34 was a skinny one with just two substitutes to juggle with.
