Lymington & New Milton have got a change of friendly fixture at Fawcetts Field on Saturday (3pm). Instead of playing Highworth Town, who cannot raise a team, they are instead hosting Southern League Division 1 East outfit Dartford.
Dartford had originally been due to visit AFC Totton, but the Stags are still working on their pitch.
Lymington have themselves had problems with their council-owned pitch. They were forced to cancel potentially lucrative friendlies against AFC Bournemouth and Eastleigh after calling the contractors back to re-do the centre circles and goalmouths.
Chairman John Mills reported: "The pitch is playable now, but it's not up to its usual standard. We've had to put more top soil in the goalmouths. We've smoothed the dents out but there are a few bare patches. The whole thing needs re-turfing really, but it's too late now.
"Losing the Bournemouth friendly was a big blow. We made £2,500 on that game last year."
