Lucifer's Army - Fantasia Acting Company, The Station, Chandler's Ford
A GIRL disappearing on her way home from school...the headteacher ordering all the school windows to be covered and the doors secured...parents inexplicably telling their children that they love them as they send them to school...and cannibalistic creatures emerging from the local sewers...
Written and directed by Daniel Reeves (an astonishingly talented 15-year-old), Lucifer's Army is an enjoyable horror/sci-fi drama with some genuinely scary moments, particularly the baby/monster transference.
The script is crisp, the dialogue realistic, the direction pacy and the music (also produced by Reeves) atmospheric and dramatic. The set design and lighting are ingenious, and the acting very promising - especially Simon Langley and Hannah Williams.
