THE youth project for Bramley is set to commence on Friday, August 7, between 7.30pm and 9pm, at Clift Meadow.

Eventually it is hoped to have TV, video/DVD, music and games.

At the moment there are three volunteer helpers including WPc Mandy Jewell, who is strongly committed to the scheme but says that more volunteers would be welcome.

Mandy would like to hear from those who hope to use the facility to find out what sort of things they want. She can be contacted on 07770 471655.

BRAMBLEDOWN tea and coffee afternoon: The weather stayed good for this event on July 3.

Many neighbours and friends turned up and looked around the garden. Sibyl ran the book and bring-and-buy stall, the cakes were delicious and tea very welcome.

A total of £111 was raised for St James' Church funds.

BRAMLEY Show: The committee and helpers are busy distributing schedules to every household.

The show is on August 28 in the village hall.

Staging of exhibits takes place from 8.30am to 10.30am, and the show opens to the public at 2pm.

Any enquiries, call Pat Jones on 01256 881509.

BASINGSTOKE Play Council: A playscheme will be run at the village hall from August 2 to 6, from 9.30am to 12.30pm.

The scheme is for children aged from five to 11. Any enquiries, please contact 844847.

CREAM teas: The garden will be open at Pamber Place and the Hungerford family will be offering cream teas from 3pm to 5pm on Sunday, August 1.
