Romsey residents turned out in force at the weekend for the launch of the town's carnival week - the annual Memorial Park fete.
Hundreds of people, even including guests from a nearby wedding, popped along to soak up the sun, listen to music and relax in the park.
Stalls set up by local charities lined the area, with everything from Romsey Scouts to Wessex Cancer Trust's Jane Scarth House represented.
A bouncy castle, children's games, an Army Cadet Force assault course, tombola and plant sales also kept visitors busy throughout the afternoon.
Romsey mayor Dorothy Baverstock formally crowned carnival queen Sharlene Bevan, and her two attendants Sophie Kitcher and Jemma Peris-Perez.
Test Valley mayor Neville Whiteley was also there to enjoy the atmosphere.
He said: "I've been round all the stalls and it all looks excellent but I'm trying to save some energy for the barn dance later."
