ONE of Hampshire's biggest summer shows is set to bounce back - 12 months after it recorded a £20,000 loss.
When the organisers of the Netley Marsh Steam and Craft Show woke up yesterday morning they were greeted by the sight they most wanted to see - a clear blue sky.
The 2003 version of the event was battered by wind and rain, causing spectators to stay away.
But months of hard work paid off as a non-stop procession of people poured into the huge showground at Meadow Mead Farm, Ringwood Road, yesterday for the start of the three-day event.
Rally secretary Tony Greenham said: "Last year it blew, it rained and it was cold, but the forecast for this weekend is ideal. We've got a lot more attractions and more than 100 stalls - a big rise on last year. The emphasis is on family entertainment."
