JUST a week after winning an award for driving one of the best looking vehicles an Andover man had his truck stolen.
Mark Gale, who drives a vehicle for Purbeck Plant, won second prize in a best-looking truck competition at a Truck Fest in Shepton Mallet, Somerset. Despite carrying muck Mark tries to keep his vehicle clean and has spent more than £1,000 on extras such as a CD player and changer and lights.
It's possibly the reason thieves were attracted to it. Mark said: "When I drive a truck I take pride in what I am doing."
A colleague of Mark's said: "It always looked immaculate." Police have been unable to trace the vehicle, which was stolen along with another truck from Hanson Yards, in Shepherd Spring Lane on 12 July.
