HUNDREDS of St John Ambulance members from across Hampshire travelled to Winchester Great Hall for the charity's presentation evening.

Duke of Edinburgh bronze awards went to Kelly Addoo and LaurenYounghusband of East-leigh, Gavin Berry and Katie Hopkins of Basingstoke and Daniel East of Hedge End.

The Grand Prior award went to Daniel Bevis, Elizabeth Hamer and Hannah Jack of Southamp-ton; Jason Kew, Claire Godfrey and Stephanie White of Romsey; Jill Robinson of Farnborough and Georgina Banks of Totton.

Certificates recognising 500 hours of voluntary work were presented to 61 members and a special certificate was presented to Ted Noyes of Havant, marking 54 years of service.

Robin Nash received a 25-year service certificate and service medals and bars were awarded to another 24 members including husband and wife David and Heather Chant from Alresford.

A commendation certificate was presented to Trevor Francis and Matthew Thomas for their work in resuscitating two casualties in Horndean within half an hour.

A Special Achievement award went to Jane Favill and Derek Meek and Lucy Rylatt for winning the national first aid competition.
