Havant & Warterlooville's friendly against Oxford United tomorrow has been called off because of potential crowd touble.
Football intelligence had picked up on rumours that between 20 and 40 Oxford supporters would be travelling south intent on causing trouble with Portsmouth fans.
For the game to go ahead, Havant would have needed £2,000-£3,000 of policing and secretary Trevor Brock admitted: "It's not worth it for a friendly."
Instead, Havant will entertain managerless Fareham Town.
Following Jon Gittens' resignation from Cams Alders this week, rumours are rife that Louis Savage, who worked briefly for Fareham during Duncan Pratt's managerial reign, is primed to take over.
