WORLD-CLASS saxophonist Danny Moss is soon to set the night on fire for jazz lovers at Eastleigh's Concorde Club.
Danny, who was a star soloist alongside such jazz legends as Johnny Dankworth and Humphrey Lyttelton, will be supported by Jimmy Hastings and the John Critchinson Trio at the Club's International Jazz Evening on Wednesday, July 28.
Moss has done just about everything that can be done in the jazz world.
Renowned for his full tenor sound, and for being a great ballad player, he spent two years with the Humphrey Lyttelton band before touring with his own band, accompanied by his wife, vocalist Jeannie Lamb.
He is now a festival favourite throughout Europe, the USA, Canada and the Far East.
Jimmy Hastings, who plays alto saxophone, clarinet and flute, is one of the most highly-respected musicians on the British music scene.
He is a long-standing member of the Humphrey Lyttelton band, and is also much in demand for theatre and session work, as well as assignments in a variety of top bands.
John Critchinson, famed for his years playing piano with Ronnie Scott's Quartet, completes the line-up with his Trio.
Tickets for Danny Moss on July 28 are available to Concorde Club members and non-members alike.
