A HAMPSHIRE playschool has been forced to close after 33 years.
Staff at Holbury Playschool in the New Forest enjoyed a champagne toast at a surprise farewell party organised by parents of pupils.
Supervisors June Carr and Dorita Banford were overwhelmed by the touching surprise gesture as they received bouquets of flowers for their hard work.
The pair have run the school in Holbury Drove for 61 years between them, with June working from the very beginning in 1971.
Councillors Lee Dunsdon and Christine Glass also attended the send-off ceremony to thank the supervisors and helpers for their work over the years.
