RESIDENTS will have a major say in the future of the Coldeast site in Sarisbury, planning minister Keith Hill MP has promised.
Fareham's civic leader Sean Woodward travelled to Westminster yesterday to quiz Mr Hill over the huge impact government policy has on Fareham planning issues. Coldeast was top of the agenda.
Cllr Woodward said: "I have had it guaranteed that we will have a very significant input in deciding the future of the site. I'm told we will be consulted at every stage. Mr Hill says the whole site will not be developed for housing, but we still have some work to do on this."
Cllr Woodward also tackled the minister over planning power being taken away from local authorities.
