IF BUSTED want to pick up some tips on how to keep their fans' pulses racing for more than a few months, they ought to ask Donny Osmond.

Donny, who is headlining Broadlands on Sunday, has cornered the market as far as keeping your adoring fans devoted to you as the years roll by is concerned.

Donny was always the Osmond who was most likely to make it really big.

While the Osmonds' first hit, Down by the Lazy River, limped into the UK charts at number 40 in March 72, Donny's first solo outing, Puppy Love, shot straight to number one less than three months later.

He followed up this success with further number ones The Twelfth of Never and Young Love, while Puppy Love zig-zaged its way in and out of the charts. And while he continued to have success with the Osmonds he expanded his chart dominance still further by scoring hits with his sister, Marie.

Donny successfully re-launched his career in 2001 and, as the huge crowd of screaming fans on Sunday are sure to prove, he's welcome back.
