LITTLE did Glyn Cleary and his son know that when they popped out for a walk recently they would find something that could have come from the Flintstones.
They were ambling along a path near Wildhern when Glyn spotted an interesting looking stone by the wayside.
"I picked it up and walked a little way along the path and I saw another one," said Glyn of King George Road, Andover. He and his five-year-old son, Luis, decided to take the two stones home and later got them checked out at Andover Library.
Experts there concluded that they were probably 10,000 years old and dated back to the Old Stone Age.
Hammerstones, as they are called, were among the earliest items of human equipment.
Glyn has given one away to a friend but he has decided to keep the second.
