TORRENTIAL rain made the going tough for Royal polo players at Tedworth House on Saturday.
The Prince of Wales, Prince William and his cousin Zara Phillips joined forces for the Highgrove team against the Combined Services Polo Association in the Indian Cavalry Polo Trophy.
Prince Charles scored the first goal, followed by a goal from Prince William but the match was eventually won by the Combined Services team.
This match was preceded by the annual Rundle Cup, pitting the Army against the Royal Navy, the senior service once again taking the trophy.
Earlier in the day Zara Phillips and her ex-boyfriend Richard Johnson were on opposing sides in a charity jockeys versus eventers bicycle polo match, followed by a good- humoured wheelchair race.
Despite the relentless rain the crowds and media were still keen to get as close as possible to the princes during the final awards presentation.
