Sunday saw Andover riders attend the North Gloucester Road Racing Club's Thruxton meeting.
With the rain falling for practice, riders were out on full wets and the first race of the programme saw local riders Gary Curtis and Simon Gates in the split class of open 400s and GP250s.
In the wet conditions Gary had a race long battle exchanging the lead on seven occasions with championship leader Pete Thompson only to lose out on the last lap to finish second in his class.
Gary did manage to get the fastest class lap of 1min 33 seconds in the wet conditions with Simon Gates finishing sixth in class after starting from way back on the grid.
Andy Green, riding a Yamaha R1 in the Streetstock 1300 class, was the next on track and had a race long battle with Gavin Cheffey but it was Andy who crossed the line first to take the win.
He followed this up with a second in class in the championship race, also lapping under last year's streetstock lap record.
