WHAT is it about the Basingstoke Canal that always seems to beat Andover anglers?
What can be termed a local water, being less than an hour's drive away and in easy reach for practice by the 12-man team, did its best to demoralise one and all in the NFA Division Two championship.
Andover Angling Club could only manage 51st place from the 56 competing teams to be beaten by anglers from Liverpool and the winners, Daiwa Trentmen from Nottingham.
