OVERTON manager Paul Chambers has had the perfect tonic as he recovers from long term knee surgery as his squad for the new campaign takes on a strong look.
Although the 38-year-old has accepted that his playing days are over his side is looking more than capable of making an impression on Division Three of the Wessex League.
Keeper Roger Budd has retired but the number one spot is well covered by Basingstoke-based Alex Brown and reserve stopper Tom Dodd.
Also in the frame for the position is big Neil Butler, who has been playing up front on a Sunday but has impressed in training.
