ANDOVER IIs and Fair Oak have been marooned at the top of Hampshire League County Division 1 by the wet weather.
Neither of the leading pair has completed a match since mid-June, leaving their respective six-match unbeaten records unchallenged for almost a month.
The pair were due to meet at London Road - but heavy overnight rain simply lumbered both teams with an unwanted fourth postponement of the season.
The cancellation of the top-table summit enabled Old Tauntonians & Romsey II - five-wicket winners over Langley Manor - to creep a little closer at the top.
But OTs' promotion prospects will surely hinge on the outcome of Saturday's visit to Fair Oak and the duel with Andover on July 24 - provided it doesn't rain, of course !
Evergreen Ian Tulk (88 not out) and Keith Trodd (63) carried OTs to a five-wicket victory over Langley Manor, whose 249 was built around Ahmed Khan (77) and John Holloway (49).
Tichborne Park, whose own future prospects will hinge on Andover's visit to Alresford on Saturday, crushed relegation strugglers Waterlooville by nine wickets.
Veteran spinner Vic Primmer (4-35) put the skids under the Ville, whose 158 was brushed aside by Martin Cheyney (78) and Nick Gerrard (57).
Eastleigh & Otterbourne's batsmen hit the high spot again with Steve Wallis (98) and Jon Ham (58) inspiring a 315-9 onslaught against Sarisbury Athletic, who managed 101-7 chasing a rain-cut target.
An undefeated 86 by Mark Jackson helped profligate Lymington II overcome Redlynch & Hale, whose 215-7 owed much to teenager Ian Tanner (85).
Stuart Shapland (5-51) was the inspiration behind Flamingo's tight three-run win over United Services II, who rallied from 66-5 to give the visitors a massive fright.
Teenager James Irving-Fortescue has got Premier League Division 2 this week after an unbeaten 62 helped St Cross Symondians home against seemingly doomed Burridge II.
Dave Lemon (5-51) bowled Locks Heath to a seven-wicket win over Fareham & Crofton, whose 205-8 was trimmed by bad weather.
