PAUL Terry was delighted with his side's best Twenty20 batting display so far.
Hampshire manager Terry has been demanding an improvement with the bat and he got from his players last night.
He said: "Putting runs together has been our Achilles heel until now so this will give the guys the confidence that they can get those sort of scores
"It was nice to see Clarkey get a few. He hasn't got as many as he would want to get but he played pretty well and Dimi showed what he can do.
"He's dangerous in that situation and is our one genuine launcher. It's nice when he comes off, it's good entertainment.
"We had to put in a good all round performance tonight.
"We've been threatening it without quite finishing sides off but this was a really good effort by the guys.
"We didn't lose too many wickets early on, after ten overs we still had plenty in hand, and when you get in that situation guys like Dimi can come in and play the way they want."
Shane Warne will not be playing against Kent tomorrow, but will be available for next Monday's quarter finals if the Hawks qualify.
Terry added: "We can go into Thursday with a lot to play for which was the main focus of tonight - but we've got to put in a similar performance against Kent.
"We've played some pretty good cricket all year but sometimes you need a bit of momentum and we've won two out of two."
