PUPILS at a Chandler's Ford school brought back wartime memories for elderly guests at a living history day.
Year 6 youngsters from Scantabout Primary School held their very own VE Day celebrations as part of their study of the Second World War.
To make the experience more authentic, staff invited pensioners who had experienced it first hand.
Pensioner Doris Newbury, 76, of Kipton Road, Chandler's Ford, said: "I think it's a really good idea. I was poorly when we had VE Day and I missed out on a lot so it was lovely to come along and take part with the children."
