MORE than £5,000 was raised at a summer fair held to celebrate the 30th birthday of a Southampton school for children with special needs.
The event, held by staff and children at Cedar School in Nursling, was part of a fundraising project to collect £36,000 for a set of new computers.
Head teacher Brian Hart said: "It was a brilliant day. We have such fantastic support, not just from staff and parents, but from the Southampton West Rotary Club and our many friends in the area.
"It was lovely to see so many former pupils, some of whom had jobs and children. It's wonderful to see them making their way in life."
