THE hunt for a missing teacher has turned to the New Forest.

Police trying to trace Beverley Miles, 47, are investigating sightings of the mother of two and her car.

Officers have revealed that a woman matching her description was spotted walking on the Lymington side of Brockenhurst railway station at 1.30pm on Saturday and was then seen at the station ten minutes later.

Her old G-registered cream coloured Volkswagen Beetle was seen empty at 3.30pm the same day in the Long Slade Heath car park, three miles from Rhinefield House.

Distraught husband Brian has pleaded through the Daily Echo for help in tracing his wife, who has been missing for nearly four days.

He said: "I love her, the kids love her, everybody loves and misses her. Whatever the problem may be we are desperate to hear from her. It's totally unbearable without her. Whenever she feels a bit low she drives out to the New Forest and sits and has a couple of hours to herself. But this time she hasn't come back.

"The kids are really struggling without her. She's a kind and bubbly - the perfect mum."

Mrs Miles, 47, rang her husband Brian last Friday evening to say she was at a friend's house in the Winton area of Bournemouth and would be home in five minutes.

However, she did not arrive at the family's home in Leeson Road, Queen's Park, Bourne-mouth, and Mr Miles later reported her missing to the police. Police inquiries revealed that Mrs Leeson had not been at her friend's house on Friday evening and had last been seen by a female friend in Bournemouth at 4pm.
