ATHENS awaits for Fareham gymnast Vanessa Hobbs .
The 17-year-old member of Southampton's Dynamo School of Gymnastics was yesterday named in the Britain's six-strong women's artistic squad for the 2004 Olympics.
Having won the first Olympic trial in Lilleshall and finished runner-up in Britain's match against Russia in Liverpool, Hobbs completed the job at the British Championships, where she became national No. 1 on vault and beam. "I believe she's one of our strongest hopes for Athens in these apparatus events," said Hobbs' Dynamo coach, Debbie Hampton.
