MANCHESTER United striker Diego Forlan was on target as Uruguay knocked Ecuador out of the Copa America at the weekend.
Former Saints striker Agustin Delgado had scored in his country's 6-1 defeat against Argentina last Wednesday but couldn't find the net again in Uruguy's 2-1 success in Peru.
Saints target DaMarcus Beasley, meanwhile, played for the United States on his home Chicago ground last night as the US held Poland to a 1-1 friendly draw.
PSV also remain interested in the 22-year-old left-footed winger.
