KING Arthur enthusiasts from all over the world will descend for the first time on University College, Winchester next month for a conference.
Seen by many as the spiritual home of King Arthur and the location of the Round Table, Winchester is seen as the ideal location to hold the event.
The event also coincides with the release of the controversial film King Arthur.
The conference takes place between August 4 and 6 at the College's West Downs Centre.
More than 50 speakers from universities around the world will be reflecting on the extraordinary impact which Arthurian legend has had across the globe.
The conference will be opened by Arthur Pendragon along with his faithful sword.
Run in conjunction with the International Medieval Congress, the event culminates in a medieval banquet on the final night.
