A HAMPSHIRE community group has been given a much-needed cash boost to help create a beautiful bird, butterfly and scent garden.
The Bursledon based Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee Activities Centre was awarded £5,000 from DIY giant B&Q at a special presentation that was also attended by local MP David Chidgey.
As a charitable centre, which provides residential activity opportunities such as archery and canoeing for people with special needs, the generous sum is a welcome donation.
Now they can work with B&Q to make a new flower-shaped garden from the existing one and improve its condition to cater for the expected influx of local wildlife.
