POP idols! Two children from local schools are through to the final of Pop Academy at the Haymarket Theatre next week.

The winner from St Mark's Primary School was Ryan Messer, and Michael Woods won the final at Hatch Warren Junior School.

They will be joined at the Haymarket by runners-up Chloe Such, from St Mark's, and Savanna Walsh, from Hatch Warren, who were chosen as last-minute extra stand-bys by the judges.

If any school finalists are unable to perform on the night, Chloe or Savanna could have the chance to take their place. If not, they will still be able to perform their acts as entertainment for the audience while the judges make their decisions.

Good luck to everyone taking part, but let's hope that we have a winner from a Hatch Warren school!

Tickets for the show, which starts at 7pm on Thursday, are available from the Haymarket Theatre or from the Pop Academy website at www.popacademy2004.co.uk
