A walk in the park with mum and her two brothers, turned out to be a sad afternoon for young Charlotte Keirle, aged three.
For at the end of the afternoon in Saxon Fields Sports Ground Ted, the teddy-bear she'd had since she was born, was left behind. That night when her mum Vicki, was putting her to bed at her Rune Drive home she began crying for him.
"The next morning my youngest son remembered seeing him on the bench. So I sent my boys up, to see if they could find him, thinking he must still be there," said Vicki. Five minutes later the boys returned. Josh, the youngest was quite upset.
They'd found Ted in the bin in bits.
His head had been torn off and his legs were missing. "Who would do that?" asked Vicki. He was, she said, like Charlotte's friend. She even used to dress her teddy bear in doll's clothes.
Vicki bought the bear from the British Heart Foundation shop in Andover and has since bought a replacement from there.
Vicki added: "What is going on with the children on this estate?"
