THE PARENTS of murdered teenager Hannah Foster have backed a texting system to alert family and friends if people go missing.
Trevor and Hilary Foster attended yesterday's launch of Safetytext in London by the father of Lucie Blackman, a former BA hostess murdered in Japan in 2001.
Tim Blackman from the Isle of Wight is promoting the idea so that children and young adults can text information with a specified time delay about where they are going to the website www.safetytext.com.
A message alert is only sent to a nominated relative or friend if the sender fails to cancel their message, or cannot do so, when they are due to arrive at their destination.
