SAINTS defender Mike Williamson has been signed by one of the finest centre halves of England's recent football history.
The 20-year-old centre half has been snapped up by Wycombe Wanderers, managed by Arsenal legend Tony Adams, on a season-long loan.
Williamson was signed by Saints in 2001 for £100,000 after just five appearances for Torquay United.
He has yet to make a first team start at St Mary's and last season found himself back at Torquay on loan, where he played 11 more times, and Doncaster, where he didn't play at all.
