Sir.-I wish to congratulate Robert Benford for his recent triumph at Aldershot magistrates court regarding motocross events.
Mr Benford was always ready to negotiate, discuss or compromise with the objectors and councils but was never really given the chance.
So it had to go to court to be decided - and what happens? Mr Benford wins and the council has to pay towards his costs.
I seem to remember one of the reasons the original plan was rejected was that it would cost the ratepayers more money in terms of extra policing and traffic control etc. So the question I have for the objectors and the five parish coalition is who's paying now?
