WHO'S a clever boy then? Peter Dobinson, that's who, who completed his environmental project sponsored by the Young People's Trust for the environment by putting up nearly 20 individual owl, bat and bird boxes all around Rotherwick.
The project was officially launched on Wednesday, when the Rotherwick wildlife information board he designed was unveiled by parish chairman Alasdair Marnoch and county councillor for environment Jonathan Glen.
The board is located adjacent to the pumping station towards the end of Wedmans Lane at the start of Peter's nature walk, so make a point of wandering down there soon - you might learn something!
DIB dib dib... Was the motto Reg Burford lived his life by during his lengthy service to the Scout movement and to Rotherwick Scouts in particular.
A long-standing member of the Scout committee here, even though he lived in Yateley, Reg lost his courageous fight against cancer last week.
We will miss his cheerful smile, cheeky turn of phrase and ever-ready helping hands.
His funeral will be in Eversley church on Monday, at 12.30pm, and our hearts and prayers are with Cee, his wife, and family.
MOBILE library: Catch it this Wednesday, in Wedmans Lane, from 3pm to 3.40pm, and in the village hall car park from 3.45pm to 4.15pm.
FETE: Many thanks to all the parents, students and staff of Whitewater School who made the fete go with a swing.
