STEP back in time at a medieval event coming up in Eastleigh that is guaranteed to tempt the taste buds and stimulate the mind.
The event, set in the grounds of St Nicolas Church in Stoneham Lane, will see local live history combined with food and drink to give guests a medieval experience they won't forget.
Local theatre group the Sarah Siddons Fan Club will stage performances that bring past parishioners back to life around the time when Italian sailors first brought marmalade and spices to England, while Feudal Archers will cook period dishes as part of their re-enactment of medieval village life.
There will also be a guided tour of the cemetery where people can find out about local village figures and can even get the opportunity to try their hand at bell-ringing.
Tickets for the event, on July 11 between noon and 4pm, are free and do not need to be booked in advance.
