YOUNG musicians from Fareham and Gosport are behind a new symphony which will receive its world premiere in Portsmouth Guildhall on Sunday.
The piece, called Elemental, is inspired by fire, water, earth and air.
Gosport and Fareham Youth Orchestra, along with Gosport and Fareham Wind Training Band, have been involved in the project, which will be heard for the first time in a free concert at 3pm.
Sammy Hurden from the Bournemouth Symphony Orch-estra (BSO) said: "We have been exploring harmony singing using songs from gospel, African, pop and soul traditions.
"I teach by ear so you don't have to read music. We have had great fun as well as produced some good music."
