THERE was no way that a spot of rain was going to dampen the spirits of revellers at Warsash's annual festival.
Despite the odd drop and some ominous clouds, people turned out in their hundreds for the event, which has become a firm favourite.
Youngsters from Ravenswood School of Dancing entertained crowds of people who also had the pick of 60 stalls, bands, games and attractions on the Strawberry Fields.
The mayor of Fareham David Swanbrow officially opened the event, which started with a millennium celebration four years ago.
Thomas Morgan, 53, a civil servant of Warsash, said: "It's really good fun. I've brought my seven-year-old niece here and she's enjoying it as well.
"It's something that the whole community can get involved in and you tend to see people you haven't seen for ages."
Excited Lucy Curtis, 10, said: "There is just so much to do. I really liked the dancers, they look so cool. I think I want to do that as well."
