YOUNGSTERS at a Hampshire school have raised more than £1,000 to help researchers find a cure for leukaemia.
Pupils at Embley Park School, near Romsey, collected the huge amount through a world book day, a fundraising art exhibition and a concert.
The grand total of £1,089.76 was presented to Leukaemia Busters fundraising manager Nigel Impey at a special school assembly this week.
The charity was chosen to receive the money because the son of a member of staff at Embley Park has been undergoing treatment for leukaemia over the past few months.
