THE new ramshackle comedy from comedy team Broken Lizard, the makers of puerile cop farce flick Super Troopers, Club Dread pokes fun at the conventions of the slasher horror movie.
The film provides plenty of laughs, so long as you're familiar with the genre it's parodying.
One-time rocker Coconut Pete (Bill Paxton) presides over the idyllic Costa Rican resort of Pleasure Island where hundreds of holiday-makers flock every summer for sun, sea, sand and sangria.
When a deranged serial killer begins scything through the staff and guests, a number of the island's dim-witted employees - including the resident cop, the aerobics instructor and a Swedish masseur - don their sleuthing sunvisors and try to solve the crimes.
But their task is made harder by the fact that everyone around them is a suspect.
