Neate result at Bereweeke
Winchester Tennis and Squash Club recently staged their finals day when, despite the weather, an impressive day's tennis was played.
The fianls were the culmination of a series of day round robin tournaments in doubles and knockout events in singles. The honours on the day went to James Neate (Men's Open Singles), Emma Retter (Ladies Open Singles), James Neate and Marc Dryden (Men's Doubles), and Ali Miller and Judy Aymes (Ladies' Doubles).
Other events included handicapped singles, veterans and junior events. Mention must go to the juniors, who all played to a high standard - which bodes well for the club's future. Indeed, Emma Retter was Senior Champion in two events and Will Barrett in one.
The mixed doubles was won by Emma Retter and Will Barrett against Mark Finlayson and Judy Aymes.
