Eastleigh & District AC put on their best National Young Athletes'League performance to finish third at Salisbury with a club high 472 points.
Hero of the hour was young Eliott Chudleigh who scooped the athlete-of-the-match award for his double sprint success in the under-13 boys' 100 metres (13.4sec) and 200m (27.6, personal best).
He was well supported by Calum Bressington, who won the B 100m (14.1) and came second in the A long jump (4.32), and by Adam Wilkinson, who was first in the B long jump (4.00, pb) and second in the B 200m (31.1, pb).
The three teamed up with Alex Millen to head the 4x100m relay in 57.1.
Having just been selected to represent Hampshire in next weekend's English Schools'Championships in Gateshead (July 9/10), Testwood's Ben Smith celebrated with a double win in the under-17 100m (11.7) and 200m (23.9). He then joined forces with Brian Cook, Lalo Harris and Dan Morant to set a club record 47.3 seconds en route to 4x100m relay glory.
Under-17 woman Fran Padilla was first in the B javelin and Sarah Gunston marked her 300m debut by running a 51.0 pb for second place. Other Eastleigh performances:
Under-13 girls: Rebecca King (1st A 75m 10.4 pb), Laura Connolloy (1st A 800m 2.44.3 pb), Emily Smart (1st B 70m hurdles 14.8 pb, 2nd B 1200m 5.00.0 pb).
Under-15 boys: Sean Houlihan (1st A high jump 1.41, 2nd A 80m hurdles 14.0), Anthony Padilla (2nd B 80m hurdles 15.9 pb), Peter Hoe (1st A long jump 4.89, 1st B 100m 13.5 pb), Tom Orton (2nd B long jump 4.05).
Under-15 girls: Stephanie Boyes (2nd A 75m hurdles 13.7 pb, 2nd A high jump 1.40), Claire Varcoe (2nd A javelin), Laura Harvey (2nd A 800m).
Under-17 boys: Brian Cook (1st A 100m hurdles 14.9, wnd A javelin 36.54 pb), Lalo Harris (2nd B 200m 25.6pb, 2nd A 400m hurdles 67.5 pb), Dan Morant (2nd B long jump 4.87, 2nd B javelin 33.23 pb).
