A Winchester art student was determined to go the whole hog when it came to her final-year design project.
Jackie Brown, 22, needed 100 bags of sugar to make her unique masterpiece which was cast in a rubber mould created from a real pig's carcass.
The Daily Echo last reported on Jackie's wacky project back in March when she had just started the mammoth task.
'Henrietta' is one of the many exciting pieces that was on show at the Winchester School of Art Degree Show 2004 during the last fortnight.
BA Fine Art Sculpture student Jackie comes from a farming background in north Devon and says her sculpture is a statement on what we eat.
"Whilst in theory the sculpture is edible, this is not a meal that anyone could stomach," she said. "It took me about three months to complete. It's been a lot of work but it's turned out well and the reaction has been good."
The use of a rubber mould allowed Jackie to capture an enormous amount of detail, even down to the hairs on the animal's chin.
The piece, displayed on a lavish banqueting table, featured individual portions of the pig, again cast in sugar from the original carcass.
They were interspersed with paper plates of sweets and crystal glasses frosted around the rims with hundreds and thousands.
Now she has completed her degree, Jackie is looking forward to going to America in August to work in a sculpture park.
