A MIXTURE of youth and experience saw Hampshire overwhelm Gloucestershire in yesterday's 2nd XI Trophy match at The Rose Bowl.
Youngster Jimmy Adams smacked 75 and the experienced Will Kendall, axed from the first team, contributed 58. With Lawrie Prittipaul hitting 41 and Greg Lamb and Kevin Latouf both getting into the twenties, Hampshire rattled up an impressive 281-8 in their 50 overs.
It looked a forlorn task for Gloucestershire when James Hibberd bowled both their openers and James Bruce removed a third batsman with only 15 runs on the board.
With James Tomlinson taking 3-27 off his ten overs, Gloucestershire were always struggling and finished on 190 all out.
