CARNIVAL: This, again, was a resounding success.
About 200 children took part in the half-mile procession. All the participants were excellent.

More information next week.
FENCING erected: In the area of the tythe barn just off The Street, leading down to the river.
It is there because of tiles falling from the roof of the barn. Alan Turton is trying to protect members of the public who picnic there.
FRITH Johnson: Frith Johnson, who is involved with many things in the village, completed the London to Brighton cycle ride, encountering all types of weather such as rain, hail, sun, extreme cold and high wind.
She did it, though - another Old Basing triumph.
