Eastleigh civic chiefs will be asked to stump up £420 to provide a football kit to boost a sport competition for youngsters this summer.
Members of the borough's Eastleigh Local Area Committee will be told on Tuesday that the council's sports development officer is working with Eastleigh Housing Association and residents' associations to stage a summer-long sports competition.
The event will consist of coaching sessions at various locations, leading to an inter-estate competition at Eastleigh's Fleming Park on September 4.
Eastleigh Housing Association has funded a football kit for North End Copse and councillors are now being asked to buy a kit for a Velmore team.
