LOCAL Government Act 1972 regarding disposal of open-space land: Basingstoke Rugby Football Club Limited have applied for 4.5 acres of land at Down Grange Playing Fields, Pack Lane.

If you want to see the plans, they can be seen at the council offices during normal working hours. Any objections to the proposed disposal should be sent in writing before July.

KSPTA midsummer madness was a great success. Thankfully the weather was good and everybody enjoyed themselves.

OLYMPIC family fun day: At St Mark's Church, Homesteads Road, on Saturday, July 10, from 2pm to 4.30pm.

POLICE surgery: The next one will be held on Saturday, July 3, from 1pm to 3pm, at Kempshott Village Hall.

VOLUNTEERS required: St Michael's Hospice needs help for its Big Wheel 10, which is on Sunday, July 18, at the Down Grange sports complex. Volunteers are needed for both the Saturday and Sunday.

SUMMER fayre: Aldworth Science College will be holding its annual summer fayre on July 10.

If any companies or individuals would like to either sponsor or advertise in the programme that will be sold on the day, the costs are full page, £100; business card size, £25; or a couple of lines, £5.
