OPEN gardens: In support of the Bramley Show, there will, again, be an open gardens afternoon.
So far, organiser Anne Porter has arranged for the following gardens to be open to the public on July 11.
Starting in The Street, the first call can be made at Middle Farm Cottage, home of Pauline and Andy Morton. Next will be "Lowen", home of Anne and Geoff Twine, and then Meadow View, where Gill and Ian Evett will also be serving refreshments.
Over the railway crossing, turn into Longbridge Road, where Anne and Alan, at number nine, and their next-door neighbour will be pleased to show you around.
The cost will be £1 for one garden, or for £2.50 you can visit them all. For all enquiries, contact 881691.
NATIONAL Women's Register: The meeting in May was held in the cricket pavilion, and was well attended.
A talk was given by Tadley community responder Alan Quinn and his colleague, who talked about the origins of the group and the role the trained volunteers have when attending emergency calls - providing first aid until an ambulance arrives.
A vote of thanks was then given, which showed appreciation of the dedication of the volunteers' work.
COMMUNITY work: Bramley Cubs recently gave a helping hand in keeping the village tidy by collecting four large sacks of rubbish, before going on to Clift Meadow for games activities.
Well done. What a lesson to us all not to drop litter.
